Sometimes the best background for a productive day isn’t complete silence. It’s something gentle enough to help you focus without pulling your attention away from what you’re doing.
That’s exactly what I had in mind when I put together this playlist.
Filmed along the East River on a beautiful day in New York City, this one-hour video combines soft acoustic piano music with peaceful views of the water, boats passing by, and the slower side of a city that’s often known for moving at full speed.
Whether you’re working from home, studying for an exam, reading your current book, journaling, or simply looking for something calming to have in the background, I hope this playlist helps create a peaceful atmosphere wherever you are.

I recommend pressing play before you keep reading, or even before you start your next task.
Whenever people think about New York, they usually picture crowded sidewalks, yellow taxis, or Times Square. But one of the things I love most about living here is that the city also has these quieter corners. The East River is one of them.
Watching boats slowly move across the water while the skyline stretches into the distance has always been one of my favorite ways to slow down for a few minutes. It’s a reminder that even in a city where everyone seems to be rushing somewhere, there are still places that invite you to pause.
That’s the feeling I wanted this video to capture.
I love knowing these playlists become part of other people’s routines.
Maybe you’ll have it on while answering emails, tackling a school assignment, editing photos, planning your week, reading a chapter before bed, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon at home.
Wherever you are, I hope these piano melodies and peaceful river views make your day feel just a little calmer.
If you enjoyed this playlist, I’d love to know what you’re working on, reading, or creating today. Feel free to leave a comment here or over on YouTube—I always enjoy hearing how these videos become part of your daily routine.
Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today, and I hope to see you again soon, whether it’s here on the blog or in my next video.
