For quite some time now, I’ve been wanting to start a new “section” on the blog (well, actually several, but let’s take it one step at a time!!) where I can not only show you a new look but also tell you a bit more about myself: what I’m doing, what I’m thinking, what I’m planning, or share some advice and ideas with you.

While I enjoy showing you what I’m wearing and talking about trends and fashion, I also want to share a bit more with you all who are out there on the other side – something I used to do much more often but have recently stopped doing.

I thought these posts could come out on Tuesdays and for now at least, we’ll call them “Chatty Tuesdays”.

So, shall we begin?

Final countdown, yes. That’s what the title of this post says, because there are only two months (less, actually) until the end of 2017.

The mere thought that next year is 2018 makes me think that… time is moving way too fast!!

What am I doing? What am I planning?

Well, for starters, I’m in Berazategui, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

As you probably know if you’ve been following me for a while, since July of last year I’ve been spending time partly here and partly there.

“There” is my favorite city in the entire world: New York, a city that fascinates and excites me more every day and where I’ve been able to grow so much in the past year (something I still find hard to believe is possible).

New York “accepted” me much more than I expected.

I think the whole experience deserves its own post, but in summary, what I can tell you is that I still can’t believe it.

When you hear that New York is a “land of opportunities” and a place where dreams come true… well, that IS true.

The daily experience with brands and agencies is something pleasant, awesome, something that progresses day by day and that unfortunately I can only dream would be the same in Buenos Aires or Argentina in general.

The generosity and trust I’ve received being an “outsider” I think also deserves its own separate post.

Now I’m back in Berazategui.

In the house and the town (as I affectionately call it) where I’ve lived since I was 5 years old, and where I really grew up. Where I went from being a child to a teenager and an “almost” adult who one day decided to move to Buenos Aires on her own.

The days here are different but at the same time the same.

Over time, I’ve transformed my daily routine into one I enjoy, one that doesn’t make me hate Mondays, but which also means working from Monday to Monday.

And I won’t lie to you: I never disconnect, but I love it.

I like what I do, what I “get” to do every day, what I can build each week, what I plan for the coming months.

For some time now, I’ve wanted to start my own brand.

It’s a huge challenge and one that I find difficult to say out loud, but there it is.

I want to create. Products, experiences. Things that I like and that you will like too.

I have many ideas but sometimes too little time.

A few months ago, I told you about my idea to start a venture with Argentine brands, and unfortunately it’s more complicated than I imagined, and for now it’s a “frozen” project.

I also want to do everything on my own. Because that’s how I am – believing I can do everything and that I can do it all by myself, although I really can’t.

But I need to get organized.

That’s something I definitely need to do in what remains of 2017, but also in the next year and the one after.

Working constantly and having my mind occupied all the time makes it hard for me to find the moment to think about bigger, more ambitious projects, because the day-to-day consumes and exhausts me (and I like it, but it consumes and exhausts me).

Little by little I think I’m finding some order, but much less than I would like.

How long ago did I say I wanted to write a New York Guide? May of this year, and I still have so much left to do, and I was planning to finish it in September.

So… yes. That’s everything I’m doing, planning, and dreaming about today and for the rest of this year. And I really wanted to share it with you.

I hope you liked this new and different post.

I’ll read you in the comments!! 💗

xx, Flor.
