Hi hi, and welcome back to the blog! I’m so happy you’re here.
This week’s vlog is a cozy, colorful, and chaotic peek into a few days in my life here in New York City—and this blog post is the longer, chattier, deeper dive version. I know some of you love reading as much as you love watching videos (same), so I wanted to share the full experience: the vibe, the behind-the-scenes thoughts, and a few extras that didn’t make it into the final cut of the vlog.
So grab an iced matcha, cozy up, and let’s hang out.
Watch the vlog first (or after reading—your choice!):
Tuesday: Lunch with a Friend + Saks Fifth Ave Beauty Moment
We start the vlog in Bryant Park because… obviously. If it’s sunny and I have time between meetings, you’ll probably find me there. I had lunch with a friend from Argentina who’s only in the city for a few days—so we’re trying to make the most of her trip with all the catchups we can squeeze in.
After lunch, I had a meeting with the lovely team from Noble Panacea at Saks Fifth Avenue (yes, I still pronounce it the Spanish way in my head: Noble Pan-a-SEE-a—just me?). They gifted me their day cream and night cream, and I’m so excited to try them. These formulas are all about clean, potent skincare and come in these gorgeous little biodegradable pods. Luxury with a conscience? I’m intrigued.
Quick Stop at H&M (Because Summer Closet Refresh = Necessary)
Then I popped into H&M to exchange a few things and left with the cutest summer pieces: a green tank top, another tank in a shade very close to one of my fave blazers, and—my personal favorite—a dress that gives Mamma Mia in Mykonos vibes. Think blue and white, light fabric, breezy cut. Can’t wait to wear it for an event or a summer dinner out. (Don’t worry—I’ll post pics.)
Thursday: Events, Gifting Suites, and That Glowy Girl Feeling
Let’s talk Thursday because it was event central. I started the day at a PR event called “The Fried Pit Stop” (yes, I also laughed when I read the name). It was one of those cute, curated styling + skincare + beauty discovery kind of things. You sit down with a stylist and a skincare expert, they learn what you like and need, and then boom—you get matched with products.
I came home with a massive bag of goodies. I’m talking bigger-than-my-head bag. I won’t bore you with the entire haul, but here are a few products I’m super excited to try:
- Touchland Hand Sanitizers – They’re like the Glossier of hand sanitizers. Cute, flat, colorful, and actually smell amazing. I got blue sandalwood and aloe vera. Chic germ protection? Yes, please.
- Solawave Wand – This little device does red light therapy, microcurrent, AND facial massage. I’m already in love.
- Solara Suncare SPF – I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but the texture feels really lightweight, and I’m always looking for new sun protection that doesn’t feel greasy or heavy.
- UV Stickers – You apply sunscreen over them, and they turn purple when it’s time to reapply. Honestly? Genius. I’ll report back after testing.
Also: THANK YOU to New York for the cool breeze and fall-ish weather that day. I got to wear a blazer without sweating, which in this city feels like a miracle. It was around 20°C (68°F) which is honestly my ideal temperature. Give me layered looks or give me air conditioning.
Later That Day: Candle Vibes + Dinner & Magic at Petite Chef
The second event of the day was with Otherland—a candle brand that completely subverted my expectations. Think: colorful branding, cool vibes, non-basic scents. I went with my friend Austin and we even got to meet the founder! It felt super warm and fun, which you don’t always get in the beauty world. Will definitely be testing their fall and winter scents soon.
And then… we wrapped the day with dinner at Le Petit Chef—and OMG, what an experience.
If you ever come to NYC (or live here), run to this. It’s held at The View Restaurant at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Think: amazing food, incredible views of the city, and a super unique animation experience on your dinner plate. It was like Disney for adults—whimsical, funny, and genuinely surprising. I’m not usually a fan of Times Square, but this was 100% worth it.
The steak? Incredible. The dessert? Magical. The view? Classic NYC dreamscape.
Final Thoughts (And a Little Heart-to-Heart)
I love filming these vlogs because they feel like little time capsules of my life in New York—especially the little moments in between the events. The coffee breaks, the outfit choices, the changing weather, the spontaneous chats with friends. It’s the stuff that makes city life feel so full.
Let me know in the comments (or DM me on IG @flopereira) what your favorite moment from the vlog was. Was it the glam gifting suite? The Parisian dinner vibes? Or just watching me try to juggle blazer weather with summer tank tops?
And as always, thank you so much for being here. For watching, reading, commenting, supporting. It truly means the world.
See you in the next video and post 🖤
Besos,
Flor.
