Hey hey! š
Welcome back to the blog. If youāre new hereāhi, Iām Flor! Iām a skincare enthusiast, beauty product tester, and general lover of all things that make you feel good in your skin. Today, Iām walking you through my actual morning skincare routine. No fluff, no āI only use coconut oilā fantasy. Just real products I use every single day, in the order I use them.
I also filmed the whole thing for my YouTube channel (hi, subscribe if you havenāt yet!) so you can either read along here or scroll down to watch the full video. This post will give you a bit more detail than the video captionsāplus, Iām including product links, mini reviews, and a few thoughts on why I do things the way I do.
So grab your coffee or tea, and letās get into it šš»āāļø
Step 1: Cleanser ā FUNCTION OF BEAUTY + FOREO LUNA 3
I start my day with a fresh faceāliterally. Even if I did a full nighttime routine, I always wash my face in the morning to remove any leftover products, sweat, or impurities from sleep.
Right now, Iām using a custom cleanser from Function of Beauty. If you havenāt heard of them, they do personalized skincare and haircare, which is pretty cool. I filled out a quiz on their site and got a cleanser thatās tailored to my skinās needs (combo, a bit sensitive, needs hydration). I love how it doesnāt strip my skin but still gives that clean-skin feeling.
I use it with my FOREO LUNA 3, which is one of the few beauty tools Iāve stuck with for years. Itās gentle but effective, and my skin genuinely looks brighter and smoother when I use it consistently.
Step 2: Toner ā EVE LOM
After cleansing, I go in with toner. This one by EVE LOM is super gentle and hydrating. Itās meant to remove any leftover residue and prep your skin for everything that comes next. Plus, it feels so good on your face in the morning.
I apply it with reusable cotton rounds I found on Amazon. Theyāre soft, easy to clean, and better for the environment than single-use ones š±
Step 3: Serum ā DRUNK ELEPHANT B-Hydra
This step is my hydration hero. The Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum is packed with hyaluronic acid and leaves my skin feeling so plump and dewy. Iāve tried so many serums over the years, but this one is a staple because it layers beautifully under other products and never feels sticky or heavy.
Step 4: Eye Cream ā DRUNK ELEPHANT C-Tango
Iām a big believer in eye creamābut also in being patient with it. The skin around your eyes is super delicate, and results donāt happen overnight. The Drunk Elephant C-Tango is loaded with vitamins and feels luxurious but not heavy.
Pro tip: apply it gently with your ring finger to avoid tugging the skin.
Step 5: Moisturizer ā PHILOSOPHY Ultra-Light
This is where I lock everything in. The Philosophy āMade Simpleā Ultra-Light Moisturizer is perfect for my combo skin. It hydrates without clogging my pores or making me shiny. It also plays well with SPF and makeupāno pilling!
And donāt forget your neck and chest! Your skincare shouldnāt stop at your jawline.
Step 6: SPF ā EVE LOM SPF 50
Non-negotiable: sunscreen. Every. Single. Day. Iāve been loving the EVE LOM Daily Protection SPF 50 lately because itās lightweight, doesnāt leave a white cast (!!!), and gives me peace of mind that Iām protected from UVA/UVB rays.
Even if youāre just working from home or itās cloudyāyou still need SPF.

Bonus Steps
If I have a couple of extra minutes, Iāll also do these two:
- Lip Balm: Right now Iām obsessed with the Paulaās Choice Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Lip Booster. Super nourishing and non-sticky. A little goes a long way.
- Lash + Brow Serum: Iāve been using the Grande Lash Serum for a while now, and itās actually working! My lashes are longer and fuller, and I swipe a little on my brows too. Like with eye cream, you have to be consistentābut the results are worth it.
Final Thoughts
I know skincare can feel overwhelming sometimesāthere are so many products, so many steps, and so many people on the internet telling you what to do. But for me, this morning routine is grounding. Itās a little ritual that reminds me to take care of myself before the world asks me to take care of anything else.
